An overview of Payment of Wages Act 1936, Minimum Wages Act 1948, Payment of Bonus Act 1965. Recent shifts in the judicial pronouncements, current compliance requirements, best practices and case laws.

Session 4
Social Security Legislation’s
Emerging social security measures, compliances under Workmen Compensation Act 1923, Employee State Insurance Act 1948, Employee Provident Fund Act 1952, Payment of Gratuity Act 1972 – Changes in compliances & procedures for availing benefits, Best practices in industries and case laws relevant to current compliances

Industrial Relations Legislation’s
Management of work related obligations and entitlements between employers and their employees under The Trade Union Act 1926, and The Industrial Dispute Act, 1947- an overview with recent changes and compliance requirements. Conciliation, Arbitration, Adjudication, Emerging challenges of Industrial Relations in different sectors

Workplace Democracy
Employee relation – Liabilities of employer & employee, Collective Bargaining – recent trends at different levels, bipartite bodies, Grievance management, The Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act 1946 – an overview with recent changes and compliance requirements. Discussion on best practice and recent case laws.

Session 7
Contract Labor Legislation
Overview of contract labor legislation with recent changes in Contract Labor (Regulation & Abolition) Act 1970, The Apprentices Act 1961. Compliance requirements as per recent changes, Industry best practices and case laws. The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 – an overview.

Session 8
Industrial Legislation (Central)
Applicability and compliance overview under The Factory Act 1948, The Mines Act 1952 – Amendments in the acts, Current compliance requirements, best practice and case laws.

Session 9
Industrial Legislation (State – WB)
Latest cases and current scenario under State level acts – Shops & Establishment Act & Labor Welfare Act with brief overview, amendments and required compliances.

Session 10
Legislation for Woman & Children
Overview of legislation for woman and children with recent changes in Maternity Benefit Act 1961, Equal Remuneration Act 1976 & Child Labor (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986. Industry best practices and case laws. Women Empowerment at Work, Overview and compliance under Prevention of Sexual Harassment Act 2013.
